Careers Information and Guidance

Careers Information and Guidance is a very important element of the educational process. It is important to receive good advice and guidance from trained professionals to help pupils choose the correct routes and qualifications.

In Year 11 each pupil will be offered an interview with a Connexions Careers Advisor. The Connexions centre is based in the library at Traps Hill in Loughton and pupils can contact them on 020 8532 5120, or visit their website for more information and guidance. Another website well worth a visit is www.careersadvice.direct.gov.uk.

Pupils are also given support from B.Wise, an organisation that helps pupils with letters of application and CV writing. Each pupil is given their own password and they can access their CV’s and review and update them as needed.

Epping Forest College, Harlow College and Sixth Forms are invited to the Year 9 Options Evening and Year 10 & 11 consultation days. Connexions are also available for further advice.

In October there is an exhibition held at the Excel Centre which offers career advice and information on a very extensive range of careers.
